Synopsis:
‘Ours is an offbeat romantic comedy about dysfunctional people in search of companionship.
When a woman with a problem past invents a fictional self-help scheme, The Hours, she sets herself up as an Hours Guide. She begins offering Clients ten hours with her doing things they wouldn’t normally do as a way of dealing with their personal issues, even though she clearly hasn’t thought through the consequences.
Her first Client is a grieving man undergoing a crisis of faith whilst wandering the streets carrying his mother’s ashes in a plastic bag. The Hours allows him to go on a hilarious journey of self-discovery and forms an unlikely bond between the two.
Things are going so well for the Client and the Hours Guide that romance could seemingly start to blossom, but for the intervention of a second would-be Client – a certifiable little man who wants to take over the fictitious Hours organisation for himself.
Thus begins a spiral of lunacy and lies that gets increasingly out of hand as the three desperate adults act like children as they battle it out for the big prizes; love, friendship and understanding.
